Two Time Olympic Gold Beach Volleyball Champ Kerri Walsh Expecting First Child
I sheepishly admit I forgot to post this story yesterday, but with my love for beach volleyball I must make amends.
Super sweet Beach Volleyball goddess Kerri Walsh and husband Casey Jennings also a beach pro are pregnant with their first child. In an interview with Access Hollywood and The Billy Bush Show, Walsh said she’s 16 1/2 weeks pregnant, and that, “We believe we conceived during our last days in Beijing, or about a couple of days after we won the gold medal.” She added that, “I don’t want to get into all of the details.”
Actually if she’s 16 1/2 weeks along that’s one week into August meaning Kerri,was pregnant at the time when she won the gold medal China with teammate Misty May-Treanor? Making them a doubles team with a baby onboard.
And there might even be a new legacy of beach volleyball players in the making, as Kerri suggested her volleyball partner, Misty May-Treanor, is looking to expand her family as well. The timing is good for both the two time Olympic beach volleyball champs as Misty is recovering from surgery to repair a torn achilles tendon she suffered while competing on Dancing with the Stars this past season.
